Prior to WoodPro, I spent four years as an automation system supervisor for Steel Corp, Wuhan China. In 2000, I joined WoodPro because I wanted to work for a technology company that would allow me to apply and enhance my skills as a computer programmer. My goal was to acquire quality experience that will allow me to take full advantage of my computer science degree. During the six years I have been with WoodPro Software Inc., I have had many opportunities to gain the experience I sought. My responsibilities include performing systems analysis, specification, testing and implementation of IT applications. I am very excited to be the project leader for the new .NET software development team. Leading edge .NET Framework technology, as well as C# language is used to provide those in the lumber and building product companies with higher performance business tools. My goal is to ensure the delivery of valued business management software. |
Edward Zhang, B.Sc Assistant Development Manager Senior Systems Analyst
My goal is to work for a technology-oriented company that welcomes diversity and provides opportunities for creative thinking. Since 2001, I have been part of Woodpro’s development team, where I am challenged to grow both personally and professionally. Over the years, I have been able to utilize the skills I obtained from my Bachelor of Science degree in computing science. In addition, I have worked as a system analyst at Fei Peng Software Inc., Wuhan, China. I was involved in many projects, including the development of TV station management software for CCTV. All this training and experience has enabled me to help provide technical and administrative direction for personnel carrying out software development tasks. The tasks include the verification of work products for correctness, compliance to the design concept and user standards, and monitor project schedules. My other responsibilities include performing systems analysis, specification, testing and implementation of IT applications. One of the most interesting projects that I have been involved in is the creation of the Bidding & Job Control module. I am proud to be the key developer for this module as it integrates the estimating and job control for real-time management and maximum profits. Another development project I am involved is hardwood manufacturing module that addresses complex production processes, warehousing and logistical services. |
Lancy Jiang, B.Sc. Senior Systems Analyst
After graduating with a Bachelor in Computing Science, I worked for two years for Guan Jing Software Inc. In 2002, I joined WoodPro’s development team because I knew they would have many opportunities for personal and professional growth. My responsibilities include designing, coding, debugging, documenting and supporting, efficient and effective computer applications, and tools consistent with established specifications and business requirements. I also a key role in the development of our hardwood manufacturing module. Working here has had its challenges and rewards. Woodpro cares about its employees, and is committed to and values long-term relationships with its employees and clients. We go to great lengths to make sure that all our clients' business requirements are met through our customization process. |
Senior Systems Analyst
While I was taking undergraduate classes in Computing Science, I realized that I enjoyed designing, and testing logical structures to solve computer problems, as well as about learning new uses for technology. I acquired 7 years of extensive knowledge and experience with MS SQL Server, VB, .Net, and C# through working on various projects for different systems for different companies. Some of the systems I have worked with included hospital information, human resource, inventory control, and webapprove. I participate in the designing and developing of new WoodPro systems, as well as incorporating technologies into new systems to meet goals defined by users. WoodPro gives me many opportunities to demonstrate, as well as refine my skills and knowledge through various projects such as the development of WoodPro Insight modules relating to A/R, A/P and user interfaces. I work with a team to bring clients tools to increase efficiency, reduce cost, and facilitate information access. I am also the lead programmer for handheld devices that use Window CE. The handheld devices facilitate the tracking of movement of goods through barcode scanning, and remote printing for shipping and receiving. |
Emily Peng, B.Acc. Quality Assurance Manager Senior Accountant After obtaining a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting, I worked for four years at Wuhan Taihe Clothing Co., as an accountant and a manager. In 2001, I joined WoodPro Software, Inc. and am currently responsible for providing product support through the analysis and verification of software defects to determine validity and clarification for the accounting modules, as well as carrying out system evaluations. Care in conducting quality assurance activities that are based on policies, procedures, and standards so that our clients can be confident of the level of integrity and accuracy of accounting functions. I enjoy working closely with our Support and Development Manager to co-ordinate tasks and ensure financial and accounting customization specification requests for our clients are met. |
Louisa Gao, B.Acc. Assistant Quality Assurance Manager Senior Accountant Numbers have always been my passion. Prior to the three years at WoodPro Software, I was an accountant for a combined four years at Coca-Cola Corp., as well as I-Fong High Tech Corp., both located in Wuhan, China. My education consists of a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from an established university. Currently, I am part of a dedicated team verifying and validating the variety of features including the financial management and accounting modules. |
April Zhou, B.Acc. Senior Quality Assurance Analyst Senior Accountant
Upon successful graduation from Wuhan University with a degree in accounting, I became employed at the corporate office of MacDonald’s Corporation in Wuhan I acquired valuable experience and many transferable skills while I was assisting the Chief Accountant and processed documents concerning daily transactions, prepared financial reports, as well as maintained POS systems for 10 franchise locations. In 2003, I joined the LG office in Wuhan, China as an Accounts Receivable Accountant. My responsibilities included preparation of month end reports and analysis, tracking of overdue accounts, resolution of billing issues, clearing and correcting accounts. My experiences from working in different accounting departments have prepared me for WoodPro. In 2006 I became a member of the WooddPro team as one of the quality assurance analysts. Currently, I conduct quality assurance of the financial modules by ensuring the development team follows through with the processes and deliverables on various customization projects and facilitate with the resolution of deficiencies or compliance issues.
