Inventory Control provides all the necessary tools and information to enable you to manage and minimize your investment in stock and depot resources and provides a high level of service. The system instantly provides the details against the different statuses of a product, while controlling the number of new part numbers created. It allows you to see all the information without having to look at separate part numbers—saving you time, but more importantly giving you a 360-degree view of the item.

Provides Wood Treatment Scheduling:The scheduling process for wood treatment is streamlined such that greater visibility is provided. The schedule can be generated for different Types: Regular, or TSO. Treatments can be generated for different Tags of different dimensions, either by selecting the Individual Tags, a Range of Tags, or All Tags.

Generates Recommend to Treat: This option provides the ability to generate treatment lists and subsequent purchase orders and treatment orders. It indicates whether the necessary Green is available and is used in conjunction with the Recommend to Purchase option, which recommends the various Green(s) to be purchased based upon requirements. Recommendations can come from an Inventory Policy, or a specific demand from Sales Orders.

Calculates Costs Automatically: Costs are automatically calculated based on treatment.

Supports TSO Orders: The processing and scheduling of Treatment Service Only Orders are also supported by the system.

Manage Inventory: Feedback on the value, status and availability of inventory is critical to the profitability of any enterprise. WoodPro InSight supports a broad range of functionality to manage Purchased and Raw Materials, Work in Process and Finished Goods Inventory. It creates inventory transactions such as production issues and receipts, and inventory transfers, which act as the foundation for on-hand balances for use in inventory, distribution, and financial activities.

Tracks Production and Sales: Tracks all inventory movements from the original receipts of logs and lumber, through production issues, production receipts, transfers and finished product sales. Weighted Average, Standard Costs, and Specific Identification Costs methodologies calculate costs in near or real-time rather than after the fact at period end.

Products Data Management: Define an item by user-defined attributes using our industry best Product Data Management capabilities. Using formula-based Item Types, Bill of Materials, Routes and Standard Operations, WoodPro InSight's Manufacturing module provides flexible tools to control and monitor manufacturing activities and costs.

Barcoding and Data Collection: Data can be updated electronically from tally machines or handheld data collection devices. Not only does this save time, but errors are also minimized. Support for Barcode printing and handheld devices are part of WoodPro software's internally design data collection solution. This application can be easily modified to accommodate your specific requirements.

Handles Variety of Reman Activities: Different types of reman activities can be handled. They include resawing, planing, specialty drying, cut-stock, blanks, structural wood members, milling activities, custom processing and more. Automatically calculates outputs in multiple units of measure (pieces, board feet, square feet, package or unit sizes, random lengths/random widths tallies) as you cut lumber to length, rip it to width, resaw it for thickness or plane wood to finished dimensions.

Optimize Remanufacturing Process: The Bills of Materials (BOM), Assembly templates, Reman and Production templates reduce data entry time. Work In Progress (WIP) functions help maintain and track the costs of work order products and materials to increase production throughput, provide information to help you find ways to reduce costs, and meet demands. Fixed rate and standard costing techniques streamline labor and overhead costing and reporting for products manufactured in high volumes, where it is difficult to precisely synchronize material, labor, overhead and other subsystems to the actual production receipts.
